Can improper grounding cause noise

In what context are we talking about a ground.Low voltage or 120/240? In a regular house circuit the ground only acts as a safety and does not carry any current. Old house circuits had no ground. Low voltage DC circuits ground the negative side and it carries current. What noise are you talking about?

Improper "Shielding" can allow noise to transmitted and received depending on the type of device being used.

You need to give us more information in order for us to give you better answers.

There are grounding installations or connections that
Can cause circulating currents and "noise".
See IEEE stnd 1100 for an in depth study of grounding.

I think we all agree the answer to the question as given is... yes.
The more complete answer depends on the details which apparently we will never see...
