So my boyfriend and I did it on November 24 with a condom and he did it with withdrawal. I got shocked when some spotting occurred around December 6, I have an irregular cycle. I tried the home PTs and was tested negative and since I was so desperate to know more if I was pregnant or not, we went to the Dr.'s on December 11 I think. I went through a urine pregnancy test, too and was negative also. Was checked up by a Dr. and was told that I wasn't pregnant because I had some spotting. He recommended me to take a transvaginal ultrasound and so I went through with itright and was told that I won't be a soon-to-be mommy. And had polycystic something's in my ovaries which may result to me having a hard time getting pregnant in the future. I just want to know if I was too early with the tests? Because if I was the tests would be useless, right?

The doctor said no, the ultrasound said no...did you give the doctor your time-frame that you told us here? I would say based on what he told you and the ultrasound, you're not pregnant and if it was too early, the doctor would have mentioned that.

What you didn't say was when your period was due. Taking a HPT within the 1st 2 weeks after you missed your period would be too early. But a test administered by a doctor, especially an ultrasound, would not be too early.
And if you don't want to be pregnant, then keep your legs closed. No form of birth control is 100%. Any time there is penile insertion there is the risk of pregnancy.

A urine test needs to wait till you are two weeks late for your period. Any sooner may give false results.
Two weeks after sex, nothing is going to be showing up
