Hi. My wife is a mom of 15 months old baby. She was suppose to have her periods in the last week of November. She missed it. Doubting the pregnancy, she took Regestrone pill 3 in a day for 3 days (2nd, 3rd and 4th of Dec). Still she didn't get her periods. Today, on 16th when she tested using pregnancy test kit, results are positive. She is pregnant.

Can you please let us know if the unborn baby may have some side effects due to the pills taken? If so, how to proceed. Do you recommend any sort of scanning to see if everything is fine so that we can have a healthy baby or abortion of the baby since tablets may effect on the normal growth of the baby?. we are worried. Please help.

Yes there is the possibility of abnormalities and birth defects in the child. Were you using Regestrone as a contraceptive/abortion pill?
