If I roll onto my back while I'm sleeping I wake up with severe pain in my lower abdomen. I don't know how long I have to be laying in this position before the pain starts. When the pain eventually wakes me, I am frozen in that position and have to slowly raise my knees and get turned onto my side, this sometimes takes several minutes. I do usually have to urinate when I can get up but not severely. I think it's possibly my ovaries. My pap exams are normal, I do also have severe hot flashes when I'm laying down, (not usually when I'm standing or sitting). My periods were very regular (28-30 days) without the use of birth control, (I've never used birth control), until I was approximately 40. Since then, I have 2-3 per year. I'll have 2 or 3 in a row, then skip 8 months or so and have 2 or 3, etc. I have been treated for back pain in the last few years, sometimes I think its my back, and other times I think its my female organs. I can't really tell where the pain is.

You really need to see your doctor about this. It may or may not be related to your feminine health. I would suggest a GP to start.

I agree about seeing a GP first.

(I just want to add that in my case, 35+ years of abdominal pain, assumed to be 'something' female, turned out to be scarring around sacral nerves on my sacro-iliac. I had no pain back there at all, but the sacral nerves wrap around to the front, and then branch down from each side towards the middle of the pubic region, bladder, and end of the bowel. Those nerves in the front were what were irritated. It took a chiropractor to diagnose it correctly. This would be way down the list of possibilities, however, I would think, in most women.)

I have seen several doctors and specialists. The back doctor says I need to see a hip specialist, the hip specialist says I need to see a back specialist, the ob-gyn says everything is normal.

Then find a GOOD chiropractor. Unfortunately there are some awful ones. I tried two, and one was bad and the other was excellent. Also a good one will be honest with you, and tell you right away if he or she thinks your problem is not treatable with chiropractic.

The body is full of nerves, and one pinched nerve can wreak havoc. It is almost impossible in many cases to identify which one might be causing a given pain. I am not the first nor the last who will spend my entire adult life trying to find the source of pain. I hope you can find out yours, but be prepared for a long wait.
