Need help with finding resources for Christmas help for our 3 grandkids in Marysville, Ca. Father is in prison, our daughter is barely making it financially and cannot afford a Christmas for kids. Salvation Army and Toys For Tots is too late. Any suggestions on local agencies would be greatly appreciated.

Call and ask the local fire department for resources. They may be able to direct you to a gift tree in the area.

Local churches are also a good source of help.

Call the village hall and also the county human services office. Check with the reference desk at the public library for other possibilities.

Their school(s) may be able to help as well.

Is there any chance of you sending things?

I'm not sure where you are, I'm in Canada. We have a dollar store called Dollarama. Everything in the store is $3 or under. You can get webkinz there (they sell for $15 plus in other stores), and a lot of brand name items. The toy section has many brand name toys. It's my go to place for shopping for my kids.

The local church may help as well.

Definitely call the school(s) and ask to speak to the teacher or leave a message. We know how to get the help you need.

I agree. If they are so poor, there mom ( guess they are living with her) should have a case worker. That person, should have been first contact by mother. What other family members, other grandparents ?
