Hi,

My name is Prashant and age is 28. I am suffering from acidity and headache due to it from 5 years of age. I've tried many solutions; Disprine, Yoga, Morning Walk, Running but no luck. Everything is temporary. Now I've started taking Pantaprotozole 40. I've taken it for a month regularly and now when I feel acidic but everything is seems to be temporary solution. My regular tests are all normal.

Please help!

I am assuming heartburn? Acid reflux?

There are a number of gastrointestinal issues that could cause these. GERD is one of them, but there are many others. I would switch doctors and try again because I know this is a hard thing to live with.

I've had acid reflux or just heartburn from about age 50 to now, 67. I eat lots of TUMS, but not more than the daily maximum.

Some people in natural cure fields say that an acid stomach needs to be corrected with acid, paradoxically, and that vinegar is the best. Just drink a little a day, maybe a few spoonfuls. It takes a while, maybe 6-8 weeks. Drugs against acid try to kill acid production, and thus must be taken for life, and merely make the problem worse.

This does not mean you should eat all acid foods all day long, and should avoid spices (not herbs) except a few such as turmeric. Onions, garlic, and ginger are good for getting digestion back on track, even though you may get some heartburn from them at first.

Pay attention to which foods bother you. I love tomato sauce, but eat very little of it because it's an acidic food that bothers me a lot more than something like lemon.

There is no need to buy special natural supplements. Many of those products are rip offs.

Forgot to say that I buy TUMS in the 1,000 mg tabs but bite off 1/3 at a time. That way I can eat 4 tabs a day, in 12 pieces, about once an hour or so. I feel heartburn from literally everything I eat and drink now. But it's not painful as long as I have TUMS. I'm too lazy to work on a diet.

Acupressure has an easy and permanently answer to acidity. Take a blunt thin object like the back of a pencil. Use it to put gentle pressure on the centre of your left or right feet. If u donot feel any pain then do it to the nearby areas. You will feel pain at a point. If so I will give you further instructions. Note that pressure applied should be gentle. If u do not find any such point then try again. It must be there as you said you hv headache due to acidity. This is very effective. My dad has got rid of acidity this way.

I have already mentioned your abuse of english in another post so I won't belabour that point.

As well I would like to point out that acupressure is based upon the belief that there is a life energy, Chi, that runs through your body. This Chi runs through specific channels and locations, and when this energy is blocked or imbalanced then the body has problems. In the above case a Traditional Chinese Medicine practitioner would, using "Prescientific" methods link acid reflux to a nerve/tendon/muscle in your foot with the belief that by pressing this location it will cure you. In another case a Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioner would diagnose a bacterial infection in the sinus with a pressure point on your hand. By pressing that point it will engage a antibiotic response that is comparable to modern antibiotics.

Considering the length and breadth of modern medicine it is, in my not at all humble opinion, asinine to consider this before going to a medical doctor. If Alternative medicine works for you, that's fine. It is no a replacement for proper medical care. Not even a little bit.

There is a large number of doctors out there that can diagnose this. The poster has a medication, the same medication my wife uses in fact, that solves their problem. It isn't ideal but it makes the condition better. It is commonly given to people who have GERD. GERD is a disease that causes too much stomach acid to be produced. This cause acid to back flow up the esophagus and cause heart burn. The drug in question is a proton pump inhibitor which is biological jargon for acid pumps. It calms down acid production. A lot of over the counter drugs are neutralizes. This will give temporary but not permanent relief.

Imagine a bucket under a dripping tap. The bucket is your stomach and the water is the acid. When the bucket overflows then you have acid reflux/heartburn. A normal stomach will stop the drip before the bucket overflows. Someone with GERD can't do that. A neutraliser will take a cup of water out of the bucket. Which means in another hour or two it will fill and overflow again. The Pantaprotozole will turn off the tap so that the acid is no longer flowing.

Considering the above description of the disease. How will poking my wife's foot with a pencil stop the acid from flowing?

Sorry for all the shortcuts. I would like to say to all reader that hv stands for have and u stands for you. I promise to not repeat this again.
Craven Morehead thinks that acupressure works on me not everyone. Others have also questioned on the effectiveness of acupressure. Its time to drive away all confusions.
It has been recognised by WHO. It has also been recognised by our home minister Sahara Khatun. Many doctors have recognised this as well. If asked I can give names and locations of them. I have received training from the government service. I have been given a book on it as well. It ensures better nerval linkage that enables our brain to secrete chemicals like opioid and serotonin. This has worked not only on me but also to cure my sisters hair fall problem, thyroid problem, and teeth problem. This has prevented my moms uterus operation due to developing cists. This has also cure my dads acidity and also my knee pain. I feet are killing me was a post given my me. It has been cured later by acupressure. They have been able to feel pain points as well. These have also happened with the families of my teacher and my co students. Are all these miracles , coincident, or we are the selected ones who gain benefit from acupressure. Acupressure can cure every glands and organs if done correctly.

I looked this up. It is classified under physiotherapy. I accept and recognize how acupressure, acupuncture, massage therapy, shiatsu, and the like can help with muscle, joint, and skeletal problems. I have used them myself. I have a really bad back and have done lots to get it aligned right. This part I don't dispute.

This Sahara Khatun (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sahara_Khatun)?

You can find all sorts of people teaching all sorts of things in Canada as well as Bangladesh. There are a bunch of "Doctors" that will teach it as well. There are plenty REALLY official looking manuals, courses, and Doctors that teach something called homoeopathy. That is using dilution of known compounds to almost negligible levels to treat disorders with the idea that the water has a "Memory" of the compound and will work even though it has little to none of it in there.

If you talk to your doctor about it, they'll laugh in your face. Conventional medically trained professionals, even neurologists who specialize in nerves and the like, will dispute using the pressure points to treat bacterial infections or acid reflux.

Anecdotal evidence. Anything from a peer reviewed medical journal?

First, acupuncture can't deal with infections perhaps. It is not written clearly anywhere. Nor I ever had a chance of checking it. But it can cure any organ or gland inabilities. You have given a me a clear idea about acidity. Acidity may be caused by inability of stomach. This inability can be cured by acupressure. Also the op has told about headache with acidity which is also a symptom of stomach problem.
And about information from reviewed medical journal. I am not that skilled in subjects beyond acupressure. I was just given a course on how to do it and was gifted with a book. That's all. I am only skilled on 'how to cure'. That's why all the evidence I could give you is about practical references.
