A poster in the music section asked what snake was on this album cover, thought he might get better results from this section. Anyone have any ideas??

Nice! I'll attach this post to the original post in the music section... thanks Catsmine!

(trying to 'greenie' you - won't let me - no alert or anything, just won't 'click' on 'helpful' weird??)

Won't let me click on helpful either (2nd or more times today).
I'm not a snake expert but that was my first impression (copperhead) and compares well with other photos too.

Copperhead. See them at my mountain house all the time. Mine are a bit grayer but the hourglass markings are typical.

Actually, now looking at the album cover instead of posted picture, the head more resembles a boa. Does not have triangular head and note eyes are not hooded as are pit vipers.

Good points ma0641.
Spacing of markings is further apart like boa and shape of head is more like boa.
I change my vote to boa.

I agree with Boa.

Here are a few pictures.

Sorry, missed this thread. That is not a copperhead on the cover (one of my favorite snakes). Venomous snakes and python/boas have similar head shape but that is due to different physical attributes... mostly being the glands in the venomous snakes.

It is a boa, but offhand I'm not sure what kind.

It is not a copper head. A copper head looks like a milk / rat snake but with a diamond shaped head ( a viper ). The pics are of a Boa constrictor. It could possibly be a python but I'm 98% sure it's a Boa. Google both for images.
