I just bought a home moved in 3 days ago last night after dinner tried to wash dishes then suddenly no water (cold or hot). Went out to well climb down in pit pumb running but gage only bouncing at 10psi, holding tank sounds empty but yet the velve there looks like you may put a hose there that had a lot of water pressure when I turned it. Any help

If you had plenty of water and pressure at the pump, you could have a broken water line to the house, plugged PRV, if you have one, most wells do not, a plugged water filter or water softener. Check for water at an outside tap.

More details please! This pressure tank, is it galvanized with a hose bib valve on the bottom? Or do you have a blue bladder tank? Where is the pressure gauge located? Does the pump ever shut off? When you shut the pump off at the breaker box. Does the pressure gauge drop back to zero? Any more information you can give me? Back to you, Tom

It's a little red bladder tack,no the pump wasn't shutting off had to turn it off at box. I work all day today on it now I've got bette water psi then before found out that there wasn't air in the bladder tack and I lost prime. Since the house wasn't being used as a homestead just a get away the well wasn't being used the way it should have been. Found this out by a well guy down the road that was over to hang out (the rebuilt the pump in 08 but we are going to put a new bladder tack in bigger one and redo the bearing s. thanks everyone.now I can injoy a shower .
