I am classical ballet dancer and I also play tennis. One day at tennis I felt like my muscle rip around the top of my thigh(panty line).
I rested for a week and a half and the pain was gone.
Now , after 2 months I feel the same pain again but not as severe as the first time. I get the ripping feeling and I cannot put weight on my leg. When the pain subsides I walk with a limp.
I feel the pain running down the back of my leg(hamstring) , the outside of my knee side, calf muscle and ankle.
I have tried sports creams and cold and hot treatments. I take tylenol and advil.
I elevate my entire leg on 4 pillows.
