Hello! I built a computer a few months ago and after about a week I started to get repeated BSOD errors. It happens mostly when I am playing video games or watching netlfix, but it also happens when I am simply listening to music or browsing the internet. I've tried just about everything I can think to fix this including reinstalling my OS. Here is my build :Intel Core i5-3570K, Asus GeForce GTX 670, Thermaltake Chaser A31 - My Custom Build - Spoonerj24's Saved Part List - PCPartPicker (http://pcpartpicker.com/user/Spoonerj24/saved/2nJS)

****BACKUP YOUR INFO****

May be Hardware, Drivers or Windows Conflict.

----------------------------------------------------
RAM Testing
----------------------------------------------------
Try scanning the PC with the Memory testing tool(RAM) MemTest86 - Download now! (http://www.memtest86.com/download.htm)

----------------------------------------------------
Drivers
----------------------------------------------------

Sometimes nVidia take a while to catch a bug so update the graphics driver again if there is a new version. Not saying the issue is there but could be.

Update the following 3 things, check your system.
-Update Graphics Driver Again (Drivers - Download NVIDIA Drivers (http://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx))
-Update DirectX (DirectX Update (http://www.directxupdate.com/))
-Update the chipset drivers (Check your Motherboard's Support Driver Page)

Check system for blue screens

----------------------------------------------------
OS - Windows
----------------------------------------------------

If the blue screens only started after a certain time you can roll back windows with Microsoft System Restore. Just press "Start" once and start typing "Microsoft Restore". You should see the link appear.
Here is a tool to check detail on blue screens (Blue screen of death (STOP error) information in dump files. (http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/blue_screen_view.html))
Still giving blue screens, try updating Windows completely. May take a long time but is worth a shot.

Lastly, try updating BIOS. Find it on the manufacturer's website for your motherboard.
If your power goes off during the BIOS update will permanently damage your motherboard.

Still getting blue screens.
Take your unit in to the place of purchace for a warranty repair.

Check your memory first. Make sure you have it set to factory specifications. Don't just use "auto" settings. Your memory can be going bad. Also you can try swapping places with the memory chips and see if that causes any changes.

Since you built the system yourself I would like to ask if you used the driver disk that came with the motherboard, or did you download the latest drivers from the manufacturers site. Some sites can be confusing and it can be tricky to get the right ones. Especially if the motherboard has a few revisions. Since all the listed faults point to software I would start there. Use the disk that came with the mobo. Follow installation instructions as sometimes the order you install things is important (the order they're listed on the menu is a good bet). Don't install the graphics card until after the mobo disk is done and don't install any mobo utilities until maybe later. Keep it to a minimum.
