I came home to no water at all so I call City hall and they had to replace a main line. Well they got that fixed but I still have no water coming into the house. Have had one freeze but not enough to freeze any pipes. I have a spigot down by the garden that has full pressure that comes out of the ground and it is tied into the same line right after the meter. They say there is a screen on the meter so no debri would get in the line. I tried putting a gauge on the cold line in the house and disconnecting from meter and hooking a air compressor and tried blowing whatever was in there out. All water that was in the line came out but nothing else so I hooked the meter back up and the hot water tank and tried again and still no water. Any answers. Thanks Erik

Plugged main pressure reducing valve, PRV, for the house would be my guess. Some of those have filters. That is the only single source for house water. Since you do have water at an unregulated source, I would suspect a dirt has plugged the PRV. Quite common when water lines to the house are replaced.

I think Brian nailed it. But to be sure. Is there a PRV installed? Back you, Tom
