I am on the search for a new digital thermostat, currently I have a honeywell RTH7500D that is 7 years old but sort of has a mind of its own. Anyway the brands I am considering are Honeywell,Robertshaw,Totaline and White-Rodgers/Emerson. Currently my honeywell thermostat makes 2 loud clicks (it controls a heat pump) I want a thermostat that is either quiet or the clicks are quiet. My question is on the Robertshaw and Totaline digital thermostats, do they also make the clicking noise like the Honeywell's do? My current stat only does it when it turns the system on or off, it makes 2 clicks that are rather loud and annoying.
