I'm looking for this puppet movie. It was on VHS. I was really little, like under five years old when I saw it. There was a singing minstrel on the cover with purple hair, and I think it might have been a Christian movie. I feel like I remember some Christian themes. All I remember is that it was midieval, and that there was a girl (a princess) who fell in love with a prince, and he was sacrificed. I think he was tied to a tree or a rock and stabbed (maybe by bandits) and then came back to life. The yellow minstrel guy had yellow skin, kind of like the Simpsons. I'm not sure if the other characters were yellow, if that helps. Thanks for any help, this has been bothering me for years!

I think this is the same one I was trying to find the other day myself. If it's what I'm thinking it is Kingdom:Adventure.

Kingdom Adventure: The Series - Christian Movie, Christian Film, DVD, VHS Video, Trambazoombah, Secret of the Dark Wood, Tyndale Family Video (http://www.christianfilmdatabase.com/review/kingdom-adventure-the-series/)

Hope this helps.

Thank you! This thing terrified me when I was little and now I can put a name to it again after nearly 20 years.

I completely understand. I watched it growing up as well. I myself am trying to find a title to a christian kids movie. Glad I could help. :)
