What it says on the tin. It was a short story I found on allromancebooks.com somewhere between 2009 and 2011. I can't remember the author or the title or the names of the characters.
This is what I do remember:
It took place in ancient Rome and the characters were soldiers of one type or another. Gladiators, centerions, or leigonares. The general plot was that if a man lost a match in the arena then he had to submit to the victor sexually. So Character A intentionally lost a match because he wanted to sleep with character B because rumor had it that character B was the best lay ever. But it turns out that's all a lie that character B wants people to believe for whatever reason and he has no intention of sleeping with character A. But character A is persistent and they do sleep together and then there's insta-love. I have a vague memory that it was the first book of a series.
That's all I can recall. I know it sound cheesy and dumb but for some reason I really want to read this thing again. Is it familiar to anyone? If so, can you point me in its direction?
Thanks in advance for any help, Gadget.
