I was having issue with my auto timer on my dryer not working so I replaces the timer switch and still have the same issue auto timer not working. My venting/duct is clear and that runs under my house and is not clogged since I smell it out side and my regular vent is also clear . Any advice

How did you test the timer to find out it was bad? Were the windings on the motor bad? That is the most common reason for the timer not advancing next to one of the sensors or a safety.

Well I took it upon myself to think it was the timer... well I was wrong lol... is it a cheap fix or should I just buy a new dryer?

All you have to do to fix that dryer is to look at the schematic and test any safeties or thermostats and replace the ones that are bad. Another thing you will have to do is to clean it out well, change the belt, and lubricate it with white lithium grease. If you do this you will have a new dryer for about $15.00. After studying the schematic I found out that the auto setting is controlled by thermistors. You need to check them with a meter.
