I re piped my house and all the cooper is ran from the roof outside. Is that okay for the cooper pipe. Wouldn't the elements damage the pipes.

It all depends upon your climate. Here in Florida outside copper pipes would not be harmed.
However, in freezing climates the water could freeze and burst a unprotected copper pipe.

I had a copper pipe in the attic I didn't know about until one 10 degree day came along in S. Central PA in Feb. 2008. Actually I guess it was a few days later when it thawed out that I got the message. I had a clue when water ran out of the ceiling light fixture. And the copper was under about 12 inches of attic insulation.
