The college I'm currently enrolled at provides internships positions for Diagnostic Medical Imaging students. I wanted to be a nurse I completed all my required classes to apply for the program, but the outlook for me seems dull. I went experince hunting for internships and volunteer positions, but I have no experince to fulfill the requirements. I think I would better off major Diagnostic Medical Imaging because the college offers internship positions. I live in America and the economy still has a long way to go before it recovers.

Have you talked with someone who has that kind of career/job (Diagnostic Medical Imaging) so that you know what it entails? It would be working with patients that receive tests (MRIs, CT scans, etc.), or you would be more on the technical end of things? Or doing both -- or something else?

Yes, nursing is in a slump. But less than 10 years ago, any graduate had a choice of nursing jobs with high pay. You need to talk and talk and talk to all sorts of people in both professions, and to your teachers, and a guidance counselor if you have one. There is a certain amount of guessing for anyone.
