In April of this year I was prescribed Cymbalta for fibromyalgia pain. For the first month and a half or so everything was fine. Shortly after that my menstrual cycle began to go absolutely crazy. I have ALWAYS had a regular cycle, 28 days, sometimes with heavy cramping but nothing to unusual. I believe it was this medication that made me have anywhere from one to 3 "periods" a month, and one month was almost 15 days straight, half of which the cramps were either so bad I couldn't complete regular daily activities, one day I even ended up in the ER, and the other half I was bleeding and clotting so bad it was comparable to a miscarriage of had. I came to my specialist who prescribed it to my with my symptoms, and he was adament that I continue trying the medication, and that it was nearly impossible this medication was the cause. Another couple weeks later of hemorrhaging and pain, I went to my regular doctor, who also said it was highly unlikely it was the medication. He gave me a pregnancy test to make sure I wasn't miscarrying, I wasn't, and drew my blood a few times and ran all kinds of random tests which all came back normal. He even had me go in for a sonogram of my uterus to check for cysts, and stated I had a possible enlarged ovary, which was later ruled to be fine and not enlarged. Finally, around the end of August I went to my primary doctor and told him to take me off the medication and place me on something similar. I was then prescribed Savella, and 6 days after beginning this medication, my current week long period came to a hault on October 4th. Now after switching medications, I have yet to start my period, which is beginning to alarm me. I did have unprotected sex the day before I started my last period and October 10, 19, 20 & 21st. I do believe I may have fertility issues, I have been with my significant other for 4 years, I'm 25 and have had nothing but a miscarriage almost 3 years ago. Could I be pregnant? Or is this likely just my cycle re adjusting and my body getting used to the new medication?

All the above.

Your system is all mucked up from the cymbalta and it sounds like this new one is sorting itself out. I would wait it out and see what happens. IT could be your periods are resyncing, and if that is the case you should look at birth control if you don't want to get pregnant. It could also be that you're pregnant.

All things considered it is REALLY hard to say one way or another. The best bet is to wait it out to see if you get a period and if you don't, six weeks after the start of your last period, you said you were in a four week cycle right? take a home pregnancy test. The best way to know if you're pregnant is to miss a period.
