Ok, first please stray away from judging and making rude comments.

So this relates to my girlfriend, my cousin, and myself, with the situation starts with my girlfriend's and my cousin's looks. anyway, my girlfriend is 5'5" and is about 150ish pounds but looks smaller. If her breasts were a cup size smaller, her blonde hair was a shade darker and her eyes were brown, she would be an exact copy of my cousin.

So the situation happened when my cousin came to visit for a few days, she joined my girlfriend and I in the pool the evening she came over. (Here's where it gets interesting...) My girlfriend and my cousin had the same exact bikini.

While I was underwater trying to scare my girlfriend by grabbing her ankle, I decided to tease her. (Kids, this is why we don't assume.) Thinking I was at the feet of my girlfriend, I reached up and rubbed her (keeping it PG) "female area".

(This is what made it the most awkward as I still assumed it was my girlfriend.) She placed her hand down on mine and kept my fingers there for a moment before I came up for air. When I realised it was my cousin, she made a quiet "shhhhh" sound before saying my girlfriend was in the house using the restroom.

Now that things were more awkward, my hand still stayed in place as she held it there for a second more. I took my hand back and the 3 of us continued our day. That night I dreamed of it and including last night (3 nights later) I still dreamed about it.

Someone please help me, I'm at a loss about why I still dream about it and how do I make it stop?

If I were a foot and a half taller, had black skin, and shaved my head, I'd look like Michael Jordan.

So you are using the look-alike bikinis as your excuse for grabbing your cousin instead of your girlfriend?

Take your mind in other directions and stop thinking about it. You dream about it only because you think about it when you're awake. You make it stop with self discipline and moving your mind down other roads..

I would say that in time, the memory will fade, although you will probably always be a little awkward around your cousin.

What you don't realize is that she could say you touched her inappropriately, which you did.

After all, she didn't jump out of the water and ask you what the h-e-*-* you thought you were doing. Nor did she react by laughing her head off, realizing why you made the mistake. (which would still be a weird reaction in itself)

I see it as two choices. Apologize to your cousin, in email (so you have some proof of your honesty), and tell her it was a terribly upsetting accident, and you need to apologize for this stupid mistake.

Or, you can keep ruminating about it, and drive yourself crazy.

This sounds like a fake post to me... some older guy's sad fantasy.

If it's real, apologize to your cousin for your mistake and stop grabbing people's genitals in pools. Problem solved. As for the dreams, classic forbidden fruit fantasy... which is why I think the story is fake,

Ok, first please stray away from judging and making rude comments.

First, please don't presume to dictate who can respond and how. Once you post you open yourself to any response that doesn't violate our rules. If you feel a response does, then report it. If you don't like response ignore.

Second, I tend to agree what we have here is a fantasy. But just for arguments sake that its not. I think your cousin was playing with you. Without knowing your ages, I don't know quite how much. But I don't think you owe her an apology. If anything she owes you one for not stopping you immediately. While you may not have known who she was she knew who you were.

It would not be unusual for you to fantasize about this incident, but you just need to drop it.
