Hi all,

This post is probably more to look for some support and opinions.

My partner and I are trying for a baby for the past 7 months (I've been off the pill for a year now). And up until now I have been through several months where I thought I was pregnant just to get a negative answer on the test.

But this month 3 days after my ovulation date I had some light bright red spotting/ bleeding for just one day and now 5 days after ovulation I'm feeling some cramps on my lower abdomen and for this past few days I'm felling my stomach weird, I don't feel sick but is a similar sensation and unconfortable and some times throughout the day my breast start feeling a bit sore.
As this never happened before I wonder if this might be any of the early signs, or if it's just my imagination playing tricks on me because of the spotting/ bleeding wishing that I'm finally pregnant.

I don't want to take the test yet as my period is only due in 2 weeks, and I'm dreading one more disapointment because I rushed. So I wanted to see what you think.

Thank you so much.

Most of the typical pregnancy symptoms come after you've been pregnant for a month or so, having them now is merely psychosomatic. You're also hyper sensitive to body changes too so your questioning and everything seems to be a sign. They're not.

Right now you've got to assume that you're not pregnant until you miss your period. That is the one true indicator. As well home pregnancy tests get more accurate the further past your expected period date you go. After two weeks it kind of peaks.

So for now you have to assume it is your imagination until you have a test otherwise. Sadly it often takes several months to get pregnant, can be up to a year coming off birth control.

How do you know you're ovulating? Are you just having sex when you believe you're ovulating? Have you and your partner been checked out by your doctors?

So for now, have fun and have a LOT of sex. Take the shot gun approach to this all.
