My Gould's convertible well jet pump seized. I am unable to afford a new pump for another week. Is it possible to bypass my well pump and hook up a neighbor's hose (somehow to system) so that we have water to flush toilets and wash hands? If so, how is that done. My neighbor is a "plumber of sorts" and believes we can run a hose from his house to mine and attach it to the outside faucet allowing water to feed into our system. It seems backwards to me. Do I trust him and try it?

Do it all the time. You need a washer hose connector, double female. Connect to your neighbors outside tap, connect the male end of the hose to one end of the washer hose and the other end to your tap.

Yes! The above post is bang on. Simply connect one end of the hose to an outside faucet on your house and the other end to your neighbors using a double a connection. Close the valve from the pump to the house. Good luck, Tom
