Sir, I'm from Muslim conservative family but sir 4 years back I accepted a love and marriage proposal from a Muslim boy who was my classmate who used to love me from our childhood age, and accepted it when he came to my house to meet my abbu to take my hand after completing both of our studies. For his polite and brave behavior my abbu liked him and promised him to give my hand if Allah permits.

Now I have completed my higher studies and he got a best re known central government job, but now his family and he also want one more year to wait for the money which they want from us as dowry but the boy don't want to take dowry from my abbu. His family forced him to wait for 1year, and now he accepts it. My abbu and ammu are worried about my future. Please sir help me out from this bad condition. Is it right in Islamic way to wait for him till now.

It's your choice to wait or not. Why would you not? You have already waited so is a little more something to worry about? It appears the additional wait is about having the dowry, so why is that a big deal?

I know waiting is the hard part, and you both are anxious and eager. Be patient. make the elders happy but don't let them upset, or scare you.
