My periods have delayed for fsix days now. I did take a test and it came out negative and that was three days ago. I am losing energy, I want to sleep most of the day, I have mood swings, I do get nauseas at times. And I have chest pains, abdominal pains, and have dry cough. What could be the problem. I went to see the doctor 5 days ago and he said I have flu, but now it's persisting and my greatest concern is that why am I not on ma periods yet if I am not pregnant.

Have you had unprotected sex in the past month?
Your body, when fighting an illness, can grab resources from other body functions to hasten the response. Which is to say that the flu might be able to delay your period for a small period. That may or may not be likely though.
Unfortunately most over the counter pregnancy tests test for a hormone that comes out in full strength about 2 weeks after your missed period. So next Wednesday you should buy another test and Thursday morning, using the first urine of the day, test yourself again. The tests that you did was probably not valid.
