Why do you think the problem is in the line? This is actually pretty rare.
More likely it is in a splice, junction, or at a device termination.

Pull the outlet where you know it is not working. Check the wires to see if broken. If set in speed connections move to screws. These are usually the culprit. If it is good, check any wires that are nutted together. Replace outlet and move to next one.
