Ghana is so well known for romance scams and fake passports.

All they want is your money. Once you refuse, they disappear.

Why are you trying to meet women on other continents? Can't you find one locally?

Some of them have really good people working for them... by that I mean people that can fake the documents pretty well. It used to be years ago that they were really obvious fakes to all but an idiot.

One of the easiest ways to tell now, and you can see it on this passport... the text was added to the photo. You see how everything else is kind of faded and not sharp looking but the text... the text is nice and dark, very sharp... added to the picture of the passport by photoshop or some other method. This one is pretty good but not great.

So forgetting the passport, the fact that she asked for money to come see you is the biggest tip off. They always ask for money for a visa, passport, plane tickets, fees to leave the country... things like that. If you don't send it, they work at it a little to try and convince you. Once they know you're a lost cause, they give up and that's it. She will likely try to start an argument and tell you how much you're hurting her by not sending her money... that's one of the tactics.

On the other hand, if you did send money, then they would keep at you to send more. Things would keep happening that would make her need more money... until you have no more to send.

Keep your money, don't send anything, stop talking to her.

The best way to find out if this is real or a scam, tell her you're broke, you have no job, no money, just your love for her. Then ask her if she can send you some money so that you can buy her something nice for when she comes to visit.

I bet you'll never hear from her again.

Photo shop, type print issues, but even if it is not fake, they do pay girls money just to use their passport in the scams, they have 100's of real ones, they even hire girls to work for them. Normally the person on the chat may be a man, or a 60 year old women. Writing from a script, and then if a video call is done, the girl from photo gets paid to be on photo.

This is a large business, they have dozens of employees that work 3 shifts just to email.
