I recently got a copy of my credit report and it says there was an unlawful detainer judgement against me in 2008. I was never evicted or served court papers. How do I go about resolving this? I am trying to move into an apartment, and am finding it difficult with an eviction on my record. I am in Orange County, Ca

After viewing some similar posts, I understand that an unlawful detainer is not a judgement. I guess it would be more accurate to say, that my credit report shows a judgement against me for $1100

It's an arcane way of describing an eviction proceeding. If it went to judgment, and it's for eviction, that would indeed what it would be.
Check the court file and determine if there is actually a judgment against you. If so, and you were not properly served with process, you may be able to get the judgment set aside.

As noted, you need to verify the accuracy of the report. Its very possible service was properly done but you were never notified (leaving no forwarding for example). If the report is accurate you won't get it removed.
