I have a chiller that uses r22. It is water cooled and cools water to 55 deg. Problem. First the high and low sides are both at 120 in the water bath and room temp around 72 deg. So this may be normal for this situation but, when I start the unit the high side goes to 450 psi in about 15 seconds and the low side will go up to 175 psi. I'm leaning to a plugged cap tube but the low side puzzles me. I have been reading where they say the condenser is not shedding the heat but the condenser is water cooled and I have a flow meter on the line to verify it is flowing and cooling the condenser. Any ideas?
