Rear brake lights remain on all the time even when engine is off on a 1995 Mercury Villager.

You could have a short somewhere or a stuck relay. Do the brake lights work in normal fashion if the car is running or are they stuck on brakelight function ?


If stuck "on" all the time then check or have your brake switch checked.
