Looking for the title of a foreign language film where a guy gets tangled in some water lilies, survives by eating the snails from floating pond weed until the water freezes in winter. By this time he has lost his voice from shouting . He gets a gash to the head from the skate blade of someone skating on the pond and is freed when spring come and the ice breaks up. He is washed downstream, still without a voice and is nursed back to health by a hermit.

This is only a small part of the movie, which is narrated in first person past tense.

I'm pretty sure I remember there were som fat skinny dippers too whilst he is tangled.
