I would like to know how you would wire 5 or more electrical outlets on one switch so that all the outlets would be controlled by the one switch to turn them off or on.No more than 4 outlets would be used at any one time on 110 and there would be no light only outlets.Thank you.

Simplest way is to get a hot supply line, 120 VAC, 14/2 on a 15 Amp breaker. Without connecting power to the outlets, wire the outlets in parallel, black to brass, white to silver, copper to green ground. The hot supply is pulled to a wall box, a single pole switch is wired with the black going through the switch, white is continuous, ground is continuous. From the switch, connect the black lead to the first outlet. Connect the hot black lead to the breaker, the white and ground to the respective bars in the panel. All outlets on this line will be switched.

I'm sure Harold will post a drawing, he is a lot better than me.
