Regardless of the issue you cannot make him do anything. You need to continue being yourself without expectations. Expectations will only get you hurt until he decides what he wants to do.

It something you are doing is making you hurt then stop doing that thing. Stop seeing him everyday. It is your choice, pain or no pain.

You don't. If he is thinking about his ex, then he is thinking abut his ex. You really can't change that. You have to just give him time (possibly a few weeks) and he will forget about her. Don't risk getting hurt for someone who wouldn't be completely committed to you

He was honest, and you have to respect that and not get carried away by your own intense feelings. Keep it real, you know what the score is and you know you can't help him forget his ex, or get over her.

It takes time, it can can weeks, or even months to properly get over ex. If you start dating too soon, he will just end up breaking up with you, when he realizes it
