I am on the nuvaring however I have a slight yeast infection and I am considering doing a 3 day treatment of Clotrimazole (the eggs that get inserted into the vagina). Are there negative side effects when mixed with the hormones from the nuvaring? Will they make the nuvaring less effective? I just want to make sure I'm not putting myself at risk. Please help.

Antibiotics and anti-fungals have been known to hinder hormonal birthcontrols, even the Nuvaring.

It is recommended that you use a secondary, or even tertiary, form of birthcontrol while you're deal with the yeast infection. This might be a diaphragm, condoms (I would recommend at the least), Cervical cap, or even a DO NOT ENTER sticker over your lady bits.
