You can't. He needs to talk to a fertility specialist.

Why boyfriend and not husband if you're planning to start a family together? You're willing to commit to a child but not each other?

Good catch. I didn't even notice the forum it was in. I just saw the title and based my answer on that.

I'm really hoping this isn't a teenager wanting to get pregnant. It's bad enough that she's trying with a boyfriend that can walk away any time he wants, instead of a husband that has shown he's ready to commit.

Than why not wait until you're married? What's the rush? If you're too young for marriage, you're too young for a baby.

I have moved your question to Pregnancy & New Motherhood since you are not a child, nor are you a teen, and your question is about pregnancy.

There is no reason for you to get pregnant before you are married unless you choose to be a single mother. Parenthood is hard enough when couples are married, harder for him to walk away and leave you a single mother.

Now, how do you know that his sperm count is low? Has this been diagnosed by a doctor?

I agree, it is rare that any man has a check on his sperm count. I did only after 6 months of trying to conceive to see if it was a issue.

But he can go back to the doctor that did the test and see what they recommend.
