I have a ceiling fan with a light fixture. The lights blow out and tripped the breaker. I removed the bulbs and reset the breaker and when I turned on the light without the bulb installed it popped and tripped the breaker again. I think it may be a bad light fixture but wanted to get you thoughts.

If you hear the pop from the fixture you have a bad fixture...

Something is shorting someplace.

Disconnect the blue fan lead from the power source and retry. Tell us what happens.
