Hello:
If I wanted to record my life, kind of like Survivorman does on the Science channel, what kind of equipment would I need? A helmet cam? What else? Can I upload it to youTube?

You write stories about your life and submit them to your editor.

Hello Carol:
You write stories about your life and submit them to your editor. But, wouldn't they be better if they were accompanied with video??

I figure the stories will be picked up by Scorsese or Peter Jackson or Clint Eastwood -- after you've appeared on Ellen, Letterman, and The View.

Ellen? The View?
Somehow I don't think excon would want to be associated with them.
I like Survivorman! Wear a head cam and post on Youtube! I'll subscribe!

You know that I'm not electronically inclined, but my son is. There are all sorts of devices you can use to not only record, but to transfer to your PC, or gaming system. You can even record yourself playing a certain game, and then post it on YouTube. Scary stuff for a mom.
Now, what those devices are called, and how they work, I don't know. But go to your local gaming store, and they'll likely have a list of devices for you. Bring your credit card, they aren't cheap.

Depends on what you actually want to record really. Lets say its your life from your veiw. Then for that all you need is something along the lines of Google glasses. If your looking for it turned on you then that's going to require more equiptment but it will become boring if not chopped into segments.
