What is the time it takes for a green card process of a mother applying for an unmarried son over 21? Does it take longer if is married? At some point in the process if gets married, can the wife get added to the process or would have to wait to apply when the son get it? If that is the case how long after that would take for her to get it?
Thanks

It can take a very long time... I have a friend doing this... its going on 12 years now since she started trying.
As far as the rest... someone else will have to comment.

Unmarried children over 21 of a U.S. citizen is category F1. According to next month's visa bulletin (Visa Bulletin for October 2013 (http://www.travel.state.gov/visa/bulletin/bulletin_6062.html)), the current wait is about 7 years for most countries, except Mexico which is about 20 years and Philippines which is about 12 years.
Yes, it will be longer if they marry, because then they will move to the F3 category. The current wait for that is about 10.5 years for most countries, except Mexico which is about 20 years and Philippines which is about 20.5 years. The wife can be added as a derivative, yes.
