Late 1950's early 60's shower drain set up with clear plastic shampoo lid blocking it. Snaking has not worked what else can we do to remove the lid?

clear plastic shampoo lid blocking it
How do you know?
Do you know where in the pipe the lid is?

What kind of pipe. Unfortunately that will probably be galvanized.
Snaking has not worked
What kind of snake?

Lid is past the catch shampoo bottle missing its lid... lid was clear and no where to be found anywhere in the house. Drain moving VERY slow and liquid draino has done nothing for it.
Old one... hand held... crank also houses the metal snake

Sorry to say but in this case, Liquid Draino will do absolutely nothing. Try to snake it with various cable attachments. One of them should dislodge it.
Question: How big is that cap ?
Back to you. Milo

No, and it will not.

Do you mean something like shown below?
Do you have an access panel on the other side of the wall where the faucet is?
Do you have access to the pipes underneath the floor?
Shampoo bottle cap is probably caught in the trap. If you have access from the other side of the wall or access from beneath the floor, you can remove the trap and clean.

My guess is that they have a snake like in my picture below.
If that is the case I'm also guessing that they can't get the snake into the drain very far due to the PTRAP (see other image).
If that is the case, I would advise Wendi to have someone push on the drain cable while she spins the snake... in this manner they can negotiate the snake through the trap and may be able to pull the cap back out of the trap (which is where I am guessing the cap still is).
