Her period was suppose to start Monday this week. She took a pregnancy test Monday came out positive. I made her take second one to be sure again positive. Today Friday she feel like she is having a sinus infection. So we got together to right time. Spoke to the doctor told the doctor she was pregnant but hadn't comfirmed it with a doctor. The doctor ask my wife to pee in a cup. She did the doctor said she wasn't pregnant. My wife freaks out thinking she had a miscarriage. I told her to relax. We went to store bought a pregnancy test again it came positive. We have appointment to get blood drawn in 3 weeks. Just wondering what everyone opinion is believe the doctor or the 3 positive home test? Confused...

According to you, the home tests were done in the first week after she missed her period. Accuracy of HPTs is less than 50% at that point. It increases to over 95% by the end of the second week.

False positives are very rare. If she's had 3 positives, I'd say congratulations.

Scott is right, home tests done in the first week after a missed period are less accurate, but many women do get a reliable result only days after a missed period. It does happen. It happened for every one of my 3 pregnancies. But, the majority of people don't get a reliable result until the period is at least 2 weeks late.

Having said that, 3 false positives, I doubt that. Doctors urine tests can be wrong.

Wait and have the blood test done. Until then, your wife should treat herself like she's pregnant. No smoking, no drinking, she should start taking prenatal vitamins, and eat healthy.

Let us know how it turns out. :)

Thanks. Didn't know about waiting 2 weeks after. Really wish I could speed up the process lol.

Don't we all? ;)

Waiting to find out if you're pregnant, or your spouse is, is the longest wait ever. Sadly, it's not something that can be sped up. It is what it is. Those 2 weeks will seem like 2 years. However, once it's confirmed that she is, the 9 months that seem like a lifetime, really do seem to fly by.:)

You can't speed up mother nature. She's stubborn. ;)
