Can you use a steamer mop on the laminate. Also could you use just vinegar, rubbing alcohol and water to clean it. I use that on all my floor but we just installed St.James 12mm and my husband doesn't think I should use my vinegar solution on it even if very little. Any suggestions, besides buying the commercial laminate floor cleaners?

I use my steam mop on my laminate, and I've never had a problem. Just don't hold it in one place too long.

The main problem with laminate is it getting wet. If water soaks into the laminate it will warp. But steam mops dry quickly. I have 8mm flooring and it's always been fine with steam mopping.

I wouldn't trust the vinegar solution, only because it sounds like you're putting it on and letting it dry. That will soak into the laminate, which is what you want to avoid.

Well with the vinegar and rubbing alcohol mixture I just spritz some on and wipe it with a micro Fibre cloth. I never leave it sit and the alcohol dries it up quick. Do you think that would be okay for quick cleaning. The steam I would like to use for a weekly thorough cleaning.

I really can't say for sure. It sounds like it would be fine for a quick spot clean, but I'm really not certain, and I'd hate to say it is okay, only to have your floor warp, or worse.

I would contact the company that installed the floors. They may have some tips on what you can and cannot use on that specific flooring.
