Susan found a nice bicycle on Craigslist and contacted the seller and arranged to pick it up. She got the following directions using Google Maps.
1. Head EAST on E Butler Ave - 0.9 mi
2. Turn RIGHT onto S Clovis Ave - 1.5 mi
3. Turn LEFT onto E Jensen Ave - 7.0 mi
4. Turn RIGHT onto Bethel Ave - 7.0mi
5. Turn RIGHT onto E Manning Ave - 2.0 mi
6. Turn LEFT onto S McCall Ave - 2.4 mi
Assume all streets run either precisely east-west or precisely north-south. Determine the magnitude and direction of the net displacement.

A driver speeds up from rest with an acceleration of 4.0 m/s^2 and reaches a speed of 20 m/s. The driver continues at this speed for 30s. Finally, the driver comes to rest with a deceleration of 2.0 m/s^2. What is the average speed of the car?

A light wire is stretched horizontally between two poles separated by 4.0m. A pair of shoes hung midway between the poles bends the wire and causes the center to drop 0.50m. The weight of the shoes is 6.0N. What is the tension in the wire?
