I am paying child support for 2 children, the divorce/child support was from Illinois, then it was sent to Wisconsin and I kept paying. She then moved to Houston Texas and told them that one of my kids was born in Texas which is untrue. I have letters from Texas saying that I owe child support all the way from the beginning of the divorce because they said I didn't pay it. Is it possible to collect from 2 different states. Thanks.for your.help.

Hire a lawyer... its easy enough to prove where the kids were born... and that you have been paying support.

A custodial parent doesn't collect support from the state, but from the other parent. The state may help collect the support, however. But no, she can't double dip. If there is an existing support order issued in another state, she can't get a new order that supplants the original.

Sounds like she managed to find a way to double dip. Like Smoothy said you need to take it to court and show documentation that she is ripping you off.
