Say you have an expired ID card from Texas and you have lived in Oregon for over a year and have to get an Oregon ID now because you can't land a job without it (and unemployment is the only income source), and the only things you have are 2 misdemeanor traffic tickets (no drivers license) in Texas and a misdemeanor probation violation (that never shows up on even an extensive employer background check which you know all you have is to pay restitution)... the question(s) would then be is if you went into an Oregon dmv to get a valid ID card, 1.) will the DMV run a national or statewide warrant check? 2.) will you be arrested if these warrants from Texas show up? 3.) if you are arrested then how long can you be held in jail? 4) how long does Texas have to decide if they want to extradite you? 5.) how long will the jail hold you if you don't get extradited?
There is no desire to step foot in Texas again and you haven't been hard to find (far from being off the grid so to speak).

You need to get the restitution paid because the DMV computer system is hooked up nationwide.

I know to pay the restitution... it takes a job to make the money to pay the restitution and it takes a valid ID to get a job. OK... now I know that the dmv is hooked up nationwide... I need answers to my other numbered questions. Can anyone help me answer these too? Please and thank you!

1.) will the DMV run a national or statewide warrant check? Yes as I was saying previously

2.) will you be arrested if these warrants from Texas show up? Probably, maybe depending on if it is simply paying restitution maybe not. Is there any possible way you can call and make a payment arrangement?

3.) if you are arrested then how long can you be held in jail? Depends on what it is for.

4) how long does Texas have to decide if they want to extradite you? Depends on the cost effectiveness on their end and severity of the crime they are getting you on.

5.) how long will the jail hold you if you don't get extradited? I'd guess until they get the paperwork taken care of and find if you aren't going to be extradited.
