My son fell on his bicycle and his hand is swollen. We want an x-ray to be sure, but the x-ray technician isn't available until Monday, about 48 hours after the accident. Is that soon enough?

What does your own medical practitioner have to say, unless of course you are a medical professional..

If you can't get in until Monday, what other option do you have? Is it soon enough? It depends on the damage. If the damage is extensive, and needs immediate medical attention, but you still can't get an x-ray right now, what can you do to prevent it?

Either you find another x-ray technician (I live in a tiny town, and just in my town alone there are 5 different places that do xrays), or wait until Monday.

Not really sure what you're asking. Either you can find another x-ray technician before Monday and you're asking us if you should get your son in, or you can't find another x-ray technician, you have to wait until Monday, and it is what it is.

Too late or not, we can't determine. You're the parent. Find another x-ray technician if you don't want to wait until Monday.

I find it hard to believe there is only one place to get an x-ray. Like already said, can you not find someone else or someplace else.
