I was looking for a phone but can't be bothered to join all the different companies and to organise a SIM card and anyway, I don't need to make calls much.

I was looking for a phone that didn't have such an expensive brand name that is still similar to iPod touch and cannot make calls. I just want it for games and stuff like that...

I have a GO phone from AT&T. It costs me about $10/month because I use it only for emergencies.

The plan I use I pay 10 cents per minute, 20 cents per text. I have to buy $25 worth of minutes every 3 months. As long as I do, my minutes roll over.

You do have to buy the phone, but they have phones starting at $20. If you just need a phone for emergencies and infrequent use, I recommend it.
