I have a 42 inch Hitachi plasma TV that I bought about four years ago (maybe five). Lately, when I go to turn the TV on, it won't turn on. I'll be more specific:

The TV is off. Red standby light is showing. I use the remote or on button on the right side of the TV to turn the set on and the red standby light disappears. In about ten seconds the red standby light will come back on, but if I try to power the set up using the remote or the on button on the right side of the set, this continues.

What does seem to work is unplugging the set for a few hours and then plugging it back it. For some reason, after an extended off time, the set will act normal. However, simply unplugging and replugging the set results in an audible double click followed closely by another lone click that appears to be coming from somewhere in the back center of the TV. That lone click tells me that the set isn't going to turn on because when it does turn on, there is not lone click.

I have taken my set into a professional repair shop and paid the $30.00 "just look at it" fee so that the repair man can tell me that he can't find anything wrong with the set. After a week, I took it home and plugged it back in and it worked fine for about a week. Now it's back to acting like a dumbass and not turning back on.

I can post video if it will help. I have brought the set in and they can't see that anything is wrong. I don't know what else to do!
