I have a Windows XP HP/Compac 2007. It is incredibly slow!! I want to restore it to factory settings. Will that make it as if it was new again?

Will restoring my windows xp to factory settings make it just like coming out of the box?

That's the point of doing a factory restore. Of course you will lose any software you have installed since and any data files you created.
