I am 8 to 10 days late for my period and took 2 pregnancy tests.They were both negative. I have been falling asleep at work and have been craving peanuts and spicy food like crazy. My stomach also feels like I need to go but I just have been peeing. I had protected sex about a month ago and the next day thought I had my period. I haven't had it since. What are the chances the test were false negative?

I'm not at all surprised the tests were negative.

You are supposed to wait until you are two weeks late before you begin to test.

And when you do... it HAS to be right after you wake up... the first time you pee that morning... or you have to wait until the next day.

Being only a week late... I would not say strongly... there are a lot of things that can easily make you a week late... stress... etc... but the later you get the more likely a pregnancy being the cause will be.
