View Full Version : Why am I always second best to my best friend?

All of my boyfriends (ex's included) have always liked my best friend more than me.. My ex recently told me that he found her hot, I even found out my boyfriend of almost two years before we started dating had a thing for her and asked her personal questions like how she masterbaited.. This happened before we started going out and I only found out on the day he proposed to me...
Am I just being paranoid that he may still have feelings for her? There's a lot of things like 2 examples:
I had asked him in the morning if he wanted to start going gym with me and he said he didn't feel like it... Later that day when she asked him he said that he would...
Another time we had gone out together all of us she was wearing nice clothes etc that night while I was asleep he masterbaited and when I caught him he pretended to be asleep.. When I confronted him about it he said he couldn't remember what he was horny about... What do I do? Do I forget everything or do I leave him? As I've confronted him and he keeps saying he doesn't have feelings for her but the more he does this stuff the less I believe him...

What you do is up to you but it seems to me that he may find her a little bit more enticing than he finds you. I wonder... is she doing anything to lead him on, or is it just him?

I've found that there's always some woman who is every guy's fantasy. But as one ex said to me, 'sure, but I wouldn't touch her with a 10 foot pole.' Why? Too many other guys want her? She's trouble? High maintenance? Goes through men like water?
Does it matter why? (No, it doesn't.)
So you have to decide if
1. You want to stay her friend and constantly feel inferior
2. Accept this as 'life' and sigh and joke about it
3. Keep ditching men until you find one who doesn't go for her

Speaking as an old, old, old woman..

Odinn7: I'm not sure I don't think so but I don't know the full story.. I mean he may find her hotter and I'm not sure what to do..

Joypulv: thank you for your advice, I mean I don't want to feel inferior constantly but at the same time there's always going to be someone prettier than me out there (especially a computer nerd like me) but at the same time I don't want to ditch guy after guy because they've met my best friend...
