He has been in there now for 14 days, his probation officer personally called me when he went to jail and said that he was not going to be in there for a while and it would probably just be a couple weeks but I am not really sure because I don't know what is going on I just need some advice.

Sounds like he has a really nice PO to go out of his way to assure you he won't be in for long that's always a good thing.

Well there are a lot of factors to consider so it is really hard to say what will happen so it really is up to the Judge but he might want to consider hiring a lawyer.
