I wonder if you guys could help me. I.m trying to find the name of a movie I saw years ago. It was probably a French or Gernan movie, possibly even a co-production. It´s about two german soldiers who, are garrisoned in a French village during WW2. At a certain point in time they help one of the villagers whose wife is I think pregnant and take her to hospital in their car (I think this is probably accurate). After the invasion in Normandy by the allies a platoon of other Germans is sent to retake the village (my memory here's is a little vage), so the two soldiers fight against the other Germans. One of them dies. The other remains in the village. The film opens with a scene of a young German couple arriving at the village many years after the war (probably present time as of the time when the film was made- the 70s maybe). It´s summer and they start a conversation with a man reaping corn in a field. They are very surprised when they hear the guy speak fluent German. The man then tells then his story.

Now please what´s the name of the movie.
